Historic Tennessee Theatre

Bijou Theatre

In her tenure as the Director of Marketing for AC Entertainment, Brackeen served as the longest running marketing director for both the Historic Tennessee Theatre and the Bijou Theatre.

Highlights:

  • Tennessee Theatre was selected as one of the top 100 mid-size venues in the country (based on ticket sales) each year of Brackeen’s tenure.

  • Consistently exceeded sales goals, which in 2008 resulted in the Historic Tennessee Theatre’s most successful year in its 80-year history and the Bijou’s dramatic turnaround from near destruction in 2006 to the community asset that it is today.

  • Assisted in the creation and managed the launch of the “Broadway at the Tennessee” subscription series, which has become one of the Theatre’s most beloved and successful properties. This also included the launch of the Spotlight Club VIP membership program.

  • Created and managed a robust Street Team for both theatres.

  • Developed the concept for and managed the planning and execution of the Stars on Stage Gala and fundraising auction for the Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation.

  • Launched the Big Ears series of shows at the Bijou Theatre, a precursor to and catalyst for the world-renowned Big Ears Music Festival.

  • Led the development of branding campaigns for the Bijou Theatre, Big Ears series, Broadway at the Tennessee, and the Bijou’s 100th Birthday Celebration as well as a complete rebranding of the Historic Tennessee Theatre.

In addition to handling the marketing and public relations for the Theatre’s 80th birthday, Brackeen planned and executed this event and the subsequent month-long celebration - complete with a cake in the shape of the iconic marquee, large enough to serve over 5000 people.
